In creating this double album,I wanted to explore the sound differences between direct cutvinyl and a multi track analogue tape recording and mix down, of exactly the same event.Because the album had to be recorded "as live". ! had to first choose a selection of musicwhich would be of the perfeet length, Next came the musieians and I was so lucky to havethe opportunity in working with the UK 's leading big band, The Syd Lawrence Orchestra. Finally, I had to find a recording studio which not only had a superb sounding space, it alsohad to have an engineer versed in the black art of cutting live vinyl. Well. what has ouradventure revealed? Please judge for yourself, for I hope that you have as much fun inlistening. as we had in creating these dises! I also think you may enjoy how we recorded the event, by watching the supplied DVD.
